Action Zone: Field Trip

It's Thursday.....Field Trip Day!!  We loaded up the buses with over 100 girls to take them to the "Action Zone," an indoor amusement park in the mall.  We had requested field trips throughout the year that went along with our teaching objectives, but were never able to schedule one.  Now, it's the end of the year, so we take a field trip to play games!

First, I have to say I'm impressed with the size of the area and the entertainment provided.  All the malls here have these indoor places for the kids, but I've never checked one out.  Today was my chance to see it all.....for a couple of hours....

And....they're off!  The gate opened, and the girls took off running. Notice the big Sponge Bob pack--All the girls carry them.  They are full of chips, gum, candy, and sodas....in case the girls get hungry on the 15-minute ride to the mall.

Bumper Cars
"Hockey Stadium"
Jumbo slide--This is my smallest little girl
Simulated Cars
Motorcycle Mania
Dance Fever
Obstacle Course

Mmmmm....Good!

Squirt the Clowns....

Some of the Loot...
Bungy Jump
Jumping Star
Whirly Cars
Roller Coaster
3D Motion Theater:  Girls went inside and you could watch them on the big screen outside
Trying to give you a sense of how large this place is--even with several schools here the same day.
Camel Racing
Back to the Bungy (Bungee??)
After spending 2 hours splurging on ice cream, cotton candy, gum, soda, and everything else you can imagine, we sat the girls down for their lunch--catered by Hardees.
Do they look full yet?
We could do this all day!!
Now, let's load them up on the bus and head back to school.....where I still have to teach them for another 2 1/2 hours.  You know the punch line?  This was my last day with them before our big end-of-the-year test on Sunday.....so you can imagine how our last review went...Ha-ha!!  Ah....gotta love it!  :)
